Description & Condition: James Angus Crichton American artist Up for sale is this large antique river landscape oil on canvas painting by James Crichton. It depicts a tranquil sweeping river with an overhanging tree at the bend in the river. There are finely painted grasses along the banks and it is signed and dated 1907 in lower right. It is in good condition with an old patch repair with professional inpainting in that area and some craquelure to the paint in sky area. It measures 37″ by 24″ and frame 44 1/2″by 33″.
