My dad was a friend of Mr. Newton and he commissioned this painting for my family’s living room. My dad paid much more than the standard price of Mr. Newton’s work for this commissioned masterpiece, because he wanted something special. The painting came to me after my mom died. I recently visited Dorothy Newton, the widow of Harold Newton. Newton considers this painting a masterpiece of her husband’s work, and I agree with her.
