From my personal collection. I have owned this for over 50 years, from a non-smoking home and kept away from sunlight. The gilt wood carving is absolutely beautiful, with flowers on the top and beautiful scroll work up and down on the pedestals. It has decorated pinecones on each side as a finial. On the top of each side. Areas of inpainting to gilding, minimal cracks and joint separations, age and wear as expected. I would like this to be professionally wrapped and then sent UPS ground was plenty of bubble and popcorn and a very hard cardboard box that way I know I’ll get to you safely I also want to fully insure this piece. The surrounding wood, around the oval painting is in very good condition I can’t see any breaks or cracks, I believe it’s called Fret work, and usually gets broken in many places but I can’t see any damage at all. The embroidery stitching around the oval painting on the back does have a few stitches missing here in there and some are a little tiny loose but still very good, wanted to mention. Please look at the picture carefully us as part of the description. It stands approximately 45 inches tall and 24 inches wide with the base feet being 17 inches across. The oval frame is approximately 18 x 24. This is French and it’s from the 1840’s to the 1860’s. For its age it is excellent condition, I have shown on the top back how there are a few hairlines but I have to believe thus is just from age, and there isn’t any significant damage.
