This is an original oil on canvas painting of The Madonna. Attended by angels, in the style of. From the mid 1800’s. The painting was authenticated by a fine art appraiser. And was verified as in the style of Murillo from the mid-nineteenth. Although there are many Murillo painting with the Madonna and. John is far less common and of more interest. Very good condition with some minor flaws, one being a small scratch. Above the first child’s head going upward and one may barely make out a. Greek building like a temple in the background see last photo for a close. Up of scratch and the building at the very top of the scratch. Measures approximately 34 1/2 inches high by around 30 1/2 inches. Wide to the outer edges of the frame and the painting itself measures.
