This is a very good oil painting on canvas but with alot of issues. The largest issue is the bottom left facing corner, there is a large loss and the painting is lifting from the canvas, we show it in pictures 3, 4 &5, there are some other losses also you can see in pictures nothing like this one, the back of this painting looks to have been waxed or some sort of rigid resin put on it also shown in photos 11&12, I do not see a signature but the bottom areas are dark, please note also the piece is attached to the frame surrounded on the edges with black electrical tape. That is what appears to be keeping it on the stretchers at this time picture 10. The piece is antique, if I had the knowledge, I would make this piece slightly smaller and re-stretcher / cut the old stretcher, could easily remove the problimatic corner and make this a very nicely framed antique oil on canvas painting. Please feel free to ask any questions, this is unframed, nicely painted antique oil on canvas (for resto). Measures 22 1/8″ high by 18 1/8″ across.
