This is an antique portrait of a handsome gentleman. The gentleman is from New York. As you can see from the photos, he is very well dressed and is obviously a man of some wealth. This is one of two portraits. Both come complete with provenance on verso. The painting itself measures 24″ x 30″ and it is displayed in a later gilt wood frame measuring 27″ x 33″. The portrait is unsigned, but is of exceptional quality in its execution, and displays beautifully. This portrait was featured in Country Living magazine’s November 2019 issue (see last photo). Condition: scattered in-painting throughout, very professionally done, and some light visible craquelure. There is a small abrasion just above his head, which I believe you can see in the photos.
