    Nice early depiction of St. Francis of Paola in manner of Italian Master Jusepe Ribera where the hermit and Mendicant prophet is seen looking back over his shoulder bathed in a rich’chiaroscuro’. Painting is in an original untouched state having no restoration or repairs. There is a 1/2 tear to lower left side and another pinhole in shadows. Probably in original gilt frame.
