The 2014 record price for Bonnie Gregory was for THE “VALIANT LADY” AT DOCK. Local Manhattan Beach artist Bonnie Gregory created this painting in the early 1970’s. Bonnie passed away on June 25, 2011. She exhibited her work in the Park Interpretive Store and her image “Crystal Cove Christmas” won last years Holiday Paint Out competition and is now featured on the 2011 holiday boxed cards. During the 70’s, Bonnie painted several large paintings of many Crystal Cove cottages. She would spend hours painting or making studies of the cottages, often her paintings would end up in the sand.
