Deep Gilt Wood and Gesso Frame. 23″ x 27″ x3 Deep. Beautiful DeNunzio canvas transfer of George Romney’s The Beckford Children. Absolutely gorgeous antique gilded/gesso frame measures. Antique picture frame, solid wood with heavy compo/gesso in high relief on the surround. The frame measures 23″ x 27″ x 3 deep. Inside opening is 19 1/4″ x 15 3/8″. Surround is painted leaves, with leaves and flowers on the inner moldings. There are small fissure cracks in gesso consistent with age of piece. The frame itself dates to the late 1800’s. It is solid, weighing 12 1/2 pounds. T his is a H. DeNunzio Canvas Transfer Masterpiece of. Museum Quality mounted in a stunning antique frame. An original Oil Replica By H. Canvas itself measures 17″ long and 21 1/2″ tall. Weight of piece is 12 1/2 pounds. Frame is in very great condition as well as the reproduction. The original was made in 1789. This is a DeNuzio Masterpiece. Collectors Art / Canvas Transfer / Treated and Mounted to Canvas / Textured. Would make a great addition to any art lover’s wall. Frame is in great condition, but shows wear consistent with age. There are a few minor pieces of gilding/gesso that have flicked off, and parts of the gesso show signs of cracking. Antique FEDERAL GENTLEMAN Folk Oil Portrait Painting GOLD Gilt Frame c1830-40s

Here is a very nice antique gentleman oil portrait painting. It is framed in its original gilt gold , heavy compo/gesso frame. The man has a Napoleon style hair cut and a dark blue jacket on. His inner vest is a light blue and his. The entire piece measures 18 1/4 x 20 1/4 in. The canvas only measures 12 1/8 x 13 7/8 in. Fair/good as is vintage condition. Some gilt paint overlay chipped/worn off in spots. Painting has mild crazing, nail hole thru top right, and bottom right. I say all this but the item dates to the 1830-40s so almost 200 years old soon. Not new, not perfect. The man is painted in a folk art style. All pictures to judge condition. This is a thrift store find; provenance unknown. It appears to have been recently framed. Frame is heavy and in excellent condition. Painting is of indeterminate age and authorship, but is also in excellent shape. To me, it looks like something that would have been done in the 1960s – 70s — strikes me as something an eccentric film / music producer would have in their Beverly Hills mansion during that era. Painting measures approximately 20×30″ and is framed to 27.5 x 36.5″ Painting is on canvas, which appears to have been adhesive-mounted on board or foam core. I have seen prints of this painting where the title is listed as Goodbye! But there are no markings indicating the name. There is part of a paper label, I presume from a gallery in Kings Cross. The painting has craquelure and one spot of paint loss as shown in third to last photo. There is hanging hardware on both sides of the painting (see photo #8) and a a loss of some of the gesso on the frame as shown. Painting measures approximately 34.5″ tall and 19.5″ wide. Large Vintage 28x40 1949 Seascape Painting Waves Clouds Nautical Gilt Frame

Frame Size: 44 1/4 x 32 1/8. Visible Artwork Size: 39 5/8 x 27 5/8. Medium: oil on canvas. This is quite the dramatic sea painting, combined with a high quality frame. Its unfortunate that it suffered some damage, but it was mostly repaired professionally, and you need a keen eye to spot the fixes. Its signed and dated in the lower right corner, but I was unable find out any info about them. The back had a paper put on more recently, which I peeled off so you can see the repairs. You can still see about 2.5 of a tear near the left edge, and near the right edge there was a tear in the shape of the less than symbol. There are a bunch of pink arrows in the photos pointing out the tears, a scuff, little chips, impressions in the canvas, etc. Its possible that the big cloud in the middle was also repainted, but I cant tell for sure. My favorite part of the painting is the cresting waves. The artist used a lot more paint on them, which gives the painting extra texture. The frame is very nice, made out of wood with molded gesso and gilt finish. It has some wear to the corners, but overall looks good. _gsrx_vers_827 GS 7.0.13 (827).
