Alfred de Breanski was a distinguished landscape painter who became famous for his resplendent views of the Welsh and Scottish Highlands. Often bathed in a flood of golden light, these landscapes usually feature water and cattle or sheep on grassy banks. Bréanski belonged to the real stamp of those landscape painters who nimbly seized moments of the day. He had a great passion for the Highlands and perhaps more than any other, caught the atmospheric influences of the undulating landscape. This beautiful painting is in nice condition. The canvas and paint are solid especially for their age. There is paint loss on two very small areas, one in the upper left corner, the size of a small dot and one small thin line on bottom right section. I strive to be accurate and complete in my descriptions, these are the only imperfections I see. Please see the pictures. The painting measures about 27 X 19 framed and 22 X 15.5 unframed.
