DESCRIPTION / CONDITION / PROVENANCE. This is a well executed, very old, probably mid 19th century, oil on canvas painting, of a Spanish Cavalier and his horse in a stable/barn scene. Painting is mounted in we believe it’s original, ornate wood frame. Unfortunately we are unable to locate the artist signature on the piece. The condition of the painting and frame are a little rough, frame needs to be seemed back together at the corners, as you can see in the photos, and does have some wear and a few small nicks, expected with it’s age. The painting has craquelure throughout, as well as two old patches/repairs on back of the canvas, can not see from the front.
